1.Mudumalai National Park
This park is located at northwestern sides of nilgris and junction of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka.
It’s range divided into 5 , there are Masinagudi, thepakadu, mudumalai, kargudi, nellakoda. Mudumalai national park covers 1800 to 2300 elephants.
Tamil Nadu state government declares mudumalai is a tiger reserve, 5km buffer area around the park . Some people involve to guide ecotourism. This is nesting of elephants, 55 fishes, 21 amphibians, 34 reptiles, 227 birds and 55 mammals.

2.Mukurthi National Park
It is another major attractive place in nilgris. Resides at southeastern sides of nilgris, it is 8380 feet above the sea. Mukurdy dam is constructed at the foot of the hill, Hill is reaches 9 km from the dam. Mukurthy national park is sandwiched between mudumalai national park & silent valley national park.it is also known as nilgiris tahr national park and india’s first international biosphere reserve. Billithadahalla, pykara and kundah rivers are flow through the park. Average hight is around 2400 meters from the Mean Sea Level & mukurthy 2556 meters.
3.Indhira Gandhi National Park/ Annamalai National Park
It is one of the best attractive preserve in tamil nadu, resides at Western Ghats. The park is rich in rosewood and teak. Major reservoirs are Parambilikulam, Aliyar, Thirumurthi, Upper Aliyar, Kadambarai, Sholayar, and Amaravathi are fed by the perennial rivers which is originated from this National Park.
4.Guindy National Park
It is 8th smallest park in the country, located at Guindy, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Good green place within the city, Snake park is a huge attraction at Guindy National Park.It include King Cobras, Pythons, Viber Snakes, a huge aquarium with fantastic sea snakes as well as turtles.
This Park the insistence of a Jawaharlal Nehru, The first Prime Minister in India so called as Children’s Park. This Park offers flora and fauna.Tynnosaurus statue , many deer, monkeys and others found in this park. The park is a sums of picnic destination of entire family except school children’s.
5.Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park
It consist of 21 small island in indian ocean, The area between Rameshwaram to Tuticorin. The core area which is the Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve & the first marine biosphere in south east Asia, also known as Rama’s Bridge. There are about 5 genusesof mangroves which are Rizophora, Avocennia, Brugiera, Ceriops and Luminitzera. There 12 species in sea grass and 147 species in sea weed in the entire zone. It includes bottle nosed dolphins, fineless dolphins, seahorses, pearl oysters, barracuda, worms, spinner dolphins and common dolphins. This makes the park differenced fish habitat in india. There are ornamental fish species like the butterfly fish, parrot fish, clown fish, squirrel fish, snappers and sergeant majors.
